I consider the Klarinetissimo workshops to be an exceptional contribution to clarinet education in the Czech Republic. They provide children, as well as enthusiastic adult players, with the opportunity to experience the remarkable richness and diversity of the clarinet’s sound within a clarinet-only orchestra. The original arrangements performed at the workshops combine engaging film music with classical repertoire, offering something for everyone. Last but not least, I greatly appreciate the friendly and welcoming atmosphere that characterizes these events. Many of us are always happy to return to Klarinetissimo year after year.

When we received an invitation to Klarinetissimo in our school email last year, I called the instructor, Jára Skuta, to make sure they would really accept clarinetists of all levels. Once he confirmed it, the decision was made. Together with our only clarinet student at the time (a beginner), we headed off to Summer Klarinetissimo 2024. What a brilliant idea! Four perfect, fantastic, and wonderfully organized days: Zuzka and Jára were incredible, the participants were amazing, the atmosphere and venue were excellent, and the food was outstanding! More and more Klarinetissimo events keep appearing — and this year we attended two more. And this autumn, there will be Windissimo too! And this year, our school gained more clarinet students! Zuzka and Jára: if you ever decide to look for a new name for your workshops, I have a suggestion: Bellissimo! Benissimo!! Perfettissimo!!! Bravissimo!!!! 😄

I have been attending Klarinetissimo workshops since they began, and every time a new date is announced, I immediately mark it in my calendar with a big exclamation mark. I came to the very first workshop as a complete beginner, feeling quite nervous, but I was immediately won over by the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Zuzka and Jára put their heart and soul into the organization, and I am always amazed by how much energy and how many smiles they still have for us, even after a full day of teaching and rehearsing. Thanks to them, both beginners and advanced players can enjoy making music together and make tremendous progress. The practice materials—sheet music, recordings, and the mobile app—are exceptionally well prepared. The only thing that always disappoints me is how quickly the whole day flies by. 😊

Klarinetissimo is an amazing clarinet workshop where you meet wonderful people and experience unforgettable moments. As a clarinetist, I gain valuable experience in ensemble and orchestral playing while having the opportunity to perform engaging and exciting repertoire. The instructors, Zuzka and Jára, are highly experienced musicians, and both the workshop organization and the accompanying activities are carried out at a truly professional level. I would recommend Klarinetissimo to any clarinetist who would like to experience playing in an ensemble and connect with fellow clarinet enthusiasts. Simply put, Klarinetissimo is awesome. 🎶😊
